Jennifer Mura | Associate

Jena Mura joined Riess LeMieux as an associate in 2023. Her practice focuses primarily on construction and commercial litigation, handling construction and design defect claims, improper termination, and contractual disputes, as well as the defense of third-party property damage and personal injury claims. She represents general contractors, owners, insurers, and design professionals in disputes across public works, commercial, residential, and civil infrastructure projects. She has handled matters involving hurricane damage, payment disputes, lien enforcement, vibration damage to historic structures, and defended claims under Louisiana’s Underground Utilities and Facilities Damage Prevention Law. Jena practices in Louisiana state and federal courts, handling complex multi-party litigation, and representing clients in arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.

Before joining Riess LeMieux, she built a foundation in insurance defense litigation handling first-and third-party claims, coverage disputes, extra-contractual and bad-faith matters, and special investigations unit (SIU) claims. Jena received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2014. She graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2018, where she served on the editorial board of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and worked as a student practitioner in the Family Law section of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice.
