Olivia Maynard joined Riess LeMieux in September 2024 as an associate attorney. Prior to joining the firm, she served as the Advocacy Fellow for the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she assisted in preparing students for moot court, mock trial, and alternative dispute resolution competitions. She also worked in federal insurance defense for Workers’ Compensation claims submitted to the United States Department of Labor under the Longshore Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and Defense Base Act.
Olivia received her Juris Doctor from the LSU Law Center, where she also received the Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law and the Graduate Certificate in Energy Law and Policy. As a law student, she was an active and successful competitor on several LSU Law moot court teams. She was a regional finalist on the Tom Fore Phillips National Moot Court Competition team and a quarterfinalist in the Robert L. Tullis Moot Court Competition. She also received the Spirit of Judge John R. Brown Award as part of the National Admiralty Moot Court Competition team. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers National Honor Society for demonstrating exceptional skills in written and oral advocacy.
