Robert W. Tschirn | Partner
AREAS OF PRACTICE
Construction Law | Class Action Litigation | Insurance Defense, Coverage Disputes, & Bad Faith | Complex Commercial Litigation & Appellate Practice | Disaster Recovery
Robert W. Tschirn joined the firm as a partner in 2021. He focuses on construction litigation, including delay and inefficiency, improper termination, and breach of contract claims, as well as defending against third party property damage and bodily injury claims. Before joining the firm, he gained valuable experience representing both insurers and insureds in property and casualty, automobile, and general liability claims. He is a NITA-certified trial attorney, licensed in Louisiana and Texas, and has served as trial counsel in bench and jury trials in both states.
He is admitted before all United States District Courts in Louisiana, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has also argued before the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. In addition, where his clients’ needs have required it, he has obtained temporary, pro hac vice admissions to practice in federal courts in other states, including New York, New Jersey, and Oklahoma.
His affinity for science and acuity for the law, coupled with his experience on both sides of the “v.”, gives him insight and perspective on critical facts underlying his cases that can lead to early resolution or prove to be pivotal at trial. In every matter, Robert works to develop an understanding of his clients’ needs to determine the most efficient path to resolution. With that approach, he has favorably resolved cases and claims through informal negotiations, motion practice, settlement conferences, mediations, at trial, and on appeal. More than just obtaining favorable outcomes for his clients, Robert strives to deliver clear communication at each step along the way. He is also ever mindful that how he conducts himself reflects back on his clients, such that diligence and professionalism are always essential.
