Prior to joining the firm, John was a prosecutor at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office where he obtained convictions for offenses including murder and sex crimes. He conducted jury trials, judge trials, NGBRI adjudications, and bond hearings. He also presented charge conferences, responded to writs to the Court of Appeal, wrote proffer letters, and facilitated transfers to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He regularly coordinated preparation for trial with police, victims, and witnesses while running a docket of hundreds of cases.
John also proudly served as Vice President of a wholesale lumber distributor. He managed all areas of the business returning it to profitability after a period of financial decline. He negotiated purchasing agreements with suppliers and set prices for customers while maintaining sustainable profit margins. He conducted inside and outside sales for the business and coordinated the receiving and distribution of all products. His responsibilities also included oversight of the unloading, loading, packaging, and shipping operations. John annually evaluated the job performance of company personnel and dealt with all customer service issues that arose.
