Jace Weber joined Riess LeMieux in August 2023 as an associate attorney. Jace practices primarily in the areas of construction and commercial law, including litigation and transactional matters.
With a degree in construction management from Louisiana State University and more than ten years of combined practical and legal experience in the construction industry in roles as an estimator, project manager, in-house and litigation attorney— Jace brings a unique perspective to advising a broad range of clients in construction disputes and transactional matters. Since joining the firm, Jace has represented and advised general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, architects, engineers, private owners, sureties, and insurers in connection with litigation, pre-litigation disputes, mediations, and negotiations arising out of a broad spectrum of construction projects and project delivery methods, including high-end custom residential, commercial, industrial, public (state and federal), and private development projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Jace served as Corporate Counsel for a prominent nationwide specialty contractor, where he gained substantial experience in drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating a wide range of construction and commercial agreements on a daily basis, including: private owner agreements, master service agreements, subcontract agreements, public and private bid packages, engineering services agreements, subconsultant agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and commercial leases, among others. In this role, Jace also advised and assisted company branches across the country with the application and maintenance processes of state contractor licenses and engineering certificates of authorization across multiple jurisdictions. Before pursuing his legal career, Jace also successfully managed industrial and commercial construction projects in Louisiana, Texas, and California. Jace earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center, graduating magna cum laude.
