Leroy Carter, III joined Riess LeMieux in April 2024 as an associate attorney. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in insurance defense and has experience in casualty and first-party property claims. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney’s for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted misdemeanor cases, such as domestic abuse battery, theft and battery of a police officer.
Leroy received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tulane University in 2011. He graduated from Southern University Law Center in 2018. During law school, he interned at the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. He also served as an intern for the Capital Area CASA Association where he conducted research on underprivileged and neglected children in the juvenile court system.
