October 11, 2024 – Riess LeMieux is pleased to welcome Stuart “Stu” Richeson to the firm as Of Counsel in New Orleans. Stu’s primary areas of practice are construction litigation and commercial litigation.
In particular, he practices in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction matters. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in litigation and has appeared before state and federal courts in Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas and New York. He has tried numerous bench and jury trials and teaches Trial Advocacy at Tulane Law School.
Stu’s construction practice includes representing owners, contractors and subcontractors in construction defect litigation, delay claims, wage-and-hour litigation and enforcement of liens and privileges, as well as contract drafting and review. He also frequently writes and presents on construction law topics.
He received his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in 1995 and his B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University in 1992.
