The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) released a final rule on joint employment under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), which drastically changes joint-employer status from a broad indirect-control theory to a more narrow “substantial direct and immediate control” theory.

On December 10, 2019, the Louisiana Supreme Court made final a ruling in favor of a firm client for the award of the Convention Center Linear Park Project estimated at $50 million. In May 2018, the firm successfully secured the award of the public project after defeating a legal challenge by an unsuccessful bidder at trial. The firm prevailed on both rounds of appeal, concluding with the Supreme Court’s denial of the losing bidder’s supervisory writ application.
