Riess LeMieux Client Prevails in $50-Plus Million Bid Dispute at Louisiana Supreme Court

On December 10, 2019, the Louisiana Supreme Court made final a ruling in favor of a firm client for the award of the Convention Center Linear Park Project estimated at $50 million.  In May 2018, the firm successfully secured the award of the public project after defeating a legal challenge by an unsuccessful bidder at trial. The firm prevailed on both rounds of appeal, concluding with the Supreme Court’s denial of the losing bidder’s supervisory writ application.

Riess LeMieux Obtains Sanctions and Contempt Order

Michael Riess, Jon Forester and Robert Riess of Riess LeMieux successfully obtained sanctions and contempt order in favor of general contractor against City of New Orleans due to the City’s attempt to rebid a previously awarded contract in violation of the Public Works Act.
