Riess LeMieux is Proud to Announce that M. Robert C. Riess, Jr. Has Been Named Partner Effective January 1, 2023

Robert Riess is named Partner of Riess LeMieux January 1, 2023. Robert has been with Riess LeMieux since 2018, when the firm was founded. He graduated from College of Charleston with dual business degrees and then obtained his Juris Doctor from Tulane University. He is a primary component of Riess LeMieux LLC’s transactional team with complementary litigation experience allowing him to provide clients with a full breadth of counsel. His clients come from a broad range of industries including construction, food manufacturing, clothing brands, developers, and other commercial interests. Robert has quickly grown his practice to routinely operate as outside General Counsel representing clients in transactional matters and disputes including commercial contract negotiations, real estate, business formation, ownership disputes, intellectual property, and legal strategy.

Robert has been recognized by many awards throughout his practice including, Super Lawyers; Rising Stars, Best Lawyers; Ones to Watch, and 40 Under 40; Class of 2016. He was selected as a finalist for the 2022 Frank L. Maraist award, which recognizes exceptional young lawyers who demonstrate professional excellence, commitment to pro bono work and community service.

In the community, Robert founded his own non-profit, Millennial Spirits of NOLA, which went on to raise $100,000.00 for local non-profits including New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation, Youth Empowerment Project, Son of a Saint and Red Dress Run. He has also served on numerous charitable committees including Spare Strike Saints (supporting St. Michaels’ Special School), WYES Gala (supporting NOLA PBS), Youth Empowerment Project’s 40 under 40, and Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans. Currently, Robert volunteers with Jesus Project Ministries in the Hollygrove neighborhood helping teach a weekly class on business and leadership to children aged 10-18.
